The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History offers a vast array of primary and secondary sources as well as an extensive catalog of teaching resources, including videos, curricula, lesson plans, and activities. (This is a large resource and may take time to load.)
Responding to the Insurrection at the US Capitol – Facing History and Ourselves uses lessons of history to challenge teachers and their students to stand up to bigotry and hate.
“So Far Away from 1965: Voting Rights in the United States” – article by Julian Zelizer published in Perspectives on History, the newsmagazine of the American Historical Association.
U. S. History Scene is a multimedia history education website composed of historians and educators at over fifty universities dedicated to providing students and teachers with easy access to digital resources, live digital curriculum, and cutting-edge history scholarship.
White House Historical Association: Protest at the People’s House offers a collection of research articles and photographs focused on the history of protest at the White House and Lafayette Park. This recounting of over a century of First Amendment protests organizes events into themes including civil, women’s, Native American, and LGBTQ+ rights.
