Presentation Options

A presentation designed for new, or returning, faculty/staff to provide an overview of Syracuse University’s Academic Integrity Policy, including case procedures, how to submit suspected violations, and recommendations for case documentation.

A presentation designed to help new, or returning, TAs begin to think about academic integrity from a teaching perspective, including implementation of academic integrity policies in the classroom, common violations, case procedures, how to submit suspected violations, and recommendations for case documentation.

A presentation designed for students to gain an understanding of what academic integrity is and why it is important. Covered topics will include the relationship between academic culture and integrity at Syracuse University, varying academic integrity and artificial intelligence expectations, dual responsibility, student rights, case procedures, common violation types, and resources.

An interactive, hands-on, and timed academic integrity themed escape room.

Escape Room Briefing: A late-night study session takes a dark turn when the Bird Library doors lock behind you! Work together to prove your understanding of academic integrity or risk missing your OTTO 101 final! Scrambled words, cryptic poems, and long-forgotten communication methods stand between you and the exit.

In this escape room challenge, you and a team of others (minimum of 2) must work together to spot plagiarism, practice citations, understand artificial intelligence, and crack the code of ethical scholarship. This activity isn’t just a race against time; it’s a deep dive into the values that keep Syracuse University’s academic community strong.
