Small but significant steps toward creating a syllabus that tells the story of your course.
Review the syllabus and clarify the language. Unpack terms that may be unfamiliar to students such as Office Hours and Participation. These types of changes can make it more inclusive of all learners.
Use activities to encourage student engagement with the syllabus such as Seek and Find or Annotate the Syllabus.
Make the syllabus visually interesting using alternative formatting, color, and images but be sure to keep it accessible. For example, avoid using color alone to convey meaning, so that all learners can benefit equally from the information.
